March 1- Monday. Sunny but chilly in A.M. Washed clothes and got checks ready, wrote to Pearl and Mae. Clouded up in P.M. and snowed a little. Did my ironing in P.M.

March 2- Tuesday. Cold and snowy looking but didn’t snow here. Painted a crib quilt today. Got a letter from Orpha.

March 3- Wednesday. Nice. Worked on little quilt. Went to Mrs. Pummills funeral in P.M. Went to store in eve. The men are working on the sewer lines in front of our place. Sure a mess.

March 4- Thursday. Nice but windy. Worked on little quilt. Didn’t feel very good so didn’t accomplish much.

March 5- Friday. Snowed hard in A.M. 5 or 6 in. Wet snow. Worked on books then sewed on crib quilt.

March 6- Saturday. Nice but chilly. Did a little cleaning in the house and finished up a little quilt.

March 7- Sunday. Nice. Had 127 in S.S. In P.M. we went over to Coles for awhile. Church at night.

March 8- Monday. Nice. Got my washing out early this morning. Got my ironing done before noon.

March 9- Tuesday. Nice, little windy. Sewed some on a coat in A.M. In P.M. we went to town. Oscar applied for his Social Security. Did a little shopping. After we came home I went over to Woods. Took the little quilt over to her.

March 10- Wednesday. Nice but windy. Sewed on my coat in P.M. Wrote a letter to Orpha and sent her money to her. Mrs. Russell got her ironing this evening.

March 11- Thursday. Nice. Mrs. Glover was here in A.M. Cut out a dress and sewed some on it. Got a letter from Mae. Went to store in P.M. and got some groceries.

March 12- Friday. Nice but little windy. Went up to Mrs. Hills in A.M. for a few minutes. Worked on my aqua dress. Got letter from lawyer with check for rest of the estate money. Sure a nice surprise.

March 13- Saturday. Nice but windy and dusty at times. Usual Sat. work. Went to store in P.M. Mailed letter back to lawyer.

March 14- Sunday. Snowed last night but all melted off. Had 107 in S.S. In P.M. we went over to Gookins to open house. Then stopped and visited Bob Bottoms. Church at night. Rev. Crosley showed the pictures he took on his trip to Panama, then had refreshments in fellowship hall.

March 15- Monday. Windy and blustery day. Washed clothes and ironed in A.M. In P.M. went to town to the bank and Safeway store. Got my first copy of Good Housekeeping Magazine.

March 16- Tuesday. Nice but little windy. Finished my dress and coat. Oscar went to Church board meeting in eve. He took our book over to Lucy Wood for income tax work before supper.

March 17- Wednesday. Windy and dusty today. Wrote a letter to Owen and son in A.M. Didn’t get much done today.

March 18- Thursday. Cold and windy. Wrote a letter to Aunt Eva in A.M. Read some in P.M. Lazy day.

March 19- Friday. Nice but chilly and little windy. Wrote a letter to Mae and cleaned up the house in A.M. Betty Daily came little after 1 and visited awhile. Got letter from Cora.

March 20- Saturday. Nice but windy again. Washed and ironed and usual Sat. work. Aired the bedding. Cornella boy brought me some ironing in P.M.

March 21- Sunday. Lovely day. Had 116 in S.S. Lot more for Church Fellowship dinner. Went to hospital to see Devere and Oscar visited Eli’s Dad. Went thru 2 open houses. Church at night. Very good service-Alter service.

March 22- Monday. Cloudy foggy like, chilly. Ironed most of the day so am tired tonight. Beecher H. brought some ironing. Also Harriett Vernetti brought a big basketful of clothes to iron.

March 23- Tuesday. Nice. Did some ironing. In P.M. Edna Persinger came up and we visited awhile then went over to see Mrs. Barnett. In eve went down to Western Curts to see the dinette set.

March 24- Wednesday. Cloudy and windy. Did a washing and ironed. In P.M. went to store for groceries.

March 25- Thursday. Fairly nice but little windy. Decorated a candle in A.M. and washed my hair. Didn’t feel very good so didn’t get much done. Got our new dinette set today. Took quilt over to Devere in eve.

March 26- Friday. Lovely day. Worked outside about all A.M. Watered lawns. Windy tonight.

March 27- Saturday. Nice but windy. Washed some clothes. Planted several peas.

March 28- Sunday. Cloudy most of the day. Had 110 in S.S. Went to the Springs, ate dinner with Mae and Lester, then Ross and Margie and their grandson Chris came. They left then the Halls came and brought Cora back to Maes. We went to church at night. Good service.

March 29- Monday. Nice. Put a quilt in the framer and worked on it about all day. Had the trash and tree limbs hauled off today. Mrs. Hill and Glover were here in P.M. awhile.

March 30- Tuesday. Nice but windy. Finished Pearl’s quilt. Ironed some shirts. Didn’t feel very good so didn’t get too much done.

March 31- Warm and windy. Getting colder tonight. Finished up an ironing. Another ironing came in, in P.M.
