February 1933
February 1- Fred Kolb, visitor. Nice day. Ironed and tied a comforter today. Clarence found a little pig. Sent for ‘B’ batteries. Got a letter from Orpha.
February 2- Nice day. Done a big washing. Sewed a little. I am going to write to Donna Shaw now.
February 3- Cold cloudy day. Clarence went to Hankins to grind feed. Ralph Allen called in evening. I got a letter from Mary Ruth J.
February 4- Saturday. Washed my head today. Nice day till evening when air filled with dust. Dad and Clarence went to town. Mamma cleaned up the house. Fred Kolb called.
February 5- Sunday. Windy day. Blowed dirt something awful. Didn’t do much except read and clean up myself. No company.
February 6- Monday eve. Baked Bread. Got the ‘B’ batteries. Windy day, turned to snow. Awful cold. Dad and Clarence went to Ulysses. I sewed a little on my quilt.
February 7- Tuesday night. Cold and windy but wind quit blowing now. Didn’t do much only sew and read and listen to radio.
February 8- Wednesday. Cold and windy but calmed down. Mamma’s and Dad’s 22 wedding anniversary. Tied a comforter and sewed on quilt.
February 9- Thursday. Cold today. Sewed on my quilt today. Mr. Harmon called. Didn’t get the mail today.
February 10- Friday eve. Got a letter from a new pen pal from Maine. Clear but cold. Sick with headache all day. Dad and Clarence went to Lakin with Mr. Hazell. Fred Kolb called.
February 11- Saturday night. Rather windy. We tied a comforter today. Mr. Tuttle and Fred Kolb called. Never got the mail today.
February 12- Sunday eve. Nice day. Daddy and Clarence went to Harmon’s and Hankin’s with Fred Kolb. Mamma’s 56th birthday.
February 13- Monday eve. Rather cool today. Daddy hauled 2 loads of feed from Fred Kolb’s. I sewed quite a bit and cut out quilt blocks.
February 14- Tuesday eve. Rather wind but pretty nice day. Valentine’s Day. I done quite a lot of sewing today. Clarence fixed his Ford.
February 15- Wednesday night. Nice warm day. Done a 2 weeks washing. Daddy hauled feed from over east.
February 16- Thursday eve. Nice day. Joe and Delma were here. Charles Sealey called. Daddy and Clarence went to Big Bow. Got my first copy of Pathfinder.
February 17- Friday eve. Nice day. Baked bread, ironed and canned beef today. Charles Hazell called. Sewed some on my quilts.
February 18- Saturday night. Terrible dusty day. Didn’t do much today. Fred Kolb was here. Didn’t get the mail today.
February 19- Fairly nice day. Rather cool. Harmon’s and Fred Kolb were visitors. Got a letter from Louise and Aunt Myrtle.
February 20- Fairly nice day. Daddy and Clarence hauled a load of feed this afternoon. I made me a sun hat today.
February 21- Tuesday eve. Nice morning but windy the rest of the day. Daddy and Clarence hauled feed. Didn’t do much as was too dusty.
February 22- Nice day. Daddy and Clarence went to Big Bow. Mr. Grantham, Mr. Bissett, Mrs. Easley, Petrena, Mrs. Hankins, Mrs. Bissett, and 2 other people and Fred Kolb were visitors.
February 23- Nice day. Daddy and Clarence went to town with Fred Kolb. We baked and started to wash today. Had ice cream tonight.
February 24- Cloudy but warm. Had ice cream. Oil man and Fred Kolb were here. Daddy and Clarence went to Titus’. Clarence went to Literary. I cleaned 2 rooms today.
February 25- Nice day. Cleaned up the house and ironed. Ralph Allen was here. Daddy went to town with Fred Kolb-Big Bow.
February 26- Sunday night. Had a nice snow this eve. Mr. Tuttle brought a load of coal. Bess and Easy each had a calf today. Clarence went to Hankins.
February 27- Monday eve. Lovely day. I read a lot today. Clarence and Fred Kolb went to Ulysses. This was a beautiful day.
February 28- Tuesday night. Beautiful day. I sewed a little. Daddy and Clarence went to Hazell’s to grind some feed.
February 29- Leap Year.
