December 1- Saturday. Fairly nice day. The folks left for home today. Mr. Walker from Colo. was here. I cleaned up the house some and baked a cake. Sure seems lonesome now.

December 2- Sunday. Pretty cold today. We made ice cream today. Mr. Kepley was here this morning. Didn’t do anything interesting today.

December 3- Monday. Still cold. Didn’t do much out of the ordinary. P. Payton was here. Dad got some chicken feed from Payton. Heard Memory’s Lane tonight.

December 4- Tuesday. Nice day. Mamma washed this afternoon. I made a pie for supper. Clarence shot a coyote. Made out an order this morning.

December 5- Wednesday. Fairly nice day. The Wolfe boys brought some coal. We heard the Grant Co. Farm Bureau broadcast from K. O. N. 0. We ironed some. Read quite a lot.

December 6- Thursday. Fairly nice day. Stormy this evening. Mr. Heard, P. Payton, a cowboy, and Mr. Welsh were here. Dad and C. went to Big Bow.

December 7- Friday. Rather cool today. Mamma baked bread. Mr. Welsh was here this eve. I slept this afternoon. Didn’t do much only the morning work as usual.

December 8- Saturday. Nice day. Dad and C. went to town. Some fellows from Colo. brought 13 horses here. I got a cute surprise package from Pathfinder. Made some candy tonight, sure was good.

December 9- Sunday. Fairly nice day. Callers were some some of- Elmer Hennighs and Claud Pearces. I made some candy today. Played dominoes tonight.

December 10- Monday. Nice day. I made a fruit cake. Ironed some. Clarence hauled some turkeys to town for Pearces. We played dominoes tonight.

December 11- Tuesday. Nice day. I wrapped up some Christmas presents this morning. Shorty came and got his clothes. I wrote a letter to Donna tonight.

December 12- Wednesday. Lovely day. I cleaned up the house some. Got our order from C. M. O. I got a letter from Dorothy also one from Mary Ruth.

December 13- Thursday. Nice day. We washed today. Dad went to Big Bow and got some lumber. Lawrence Hoard was here. I made some candy this evening.

December 14- Friday. Nice till eve when it got dusty. Mr. Tuttle was here this morn. Dad and C. fixed the fence as Walkers horses were out.

December 15- Saturday. Rather cold and windy. Mr. Hankins was here. Clarence went coyote hunting. I got a present from Kathlene. A boy from Colo. is staying here tonite.

December 16- Sunday. Rather nice day. Several different men were here today. Some more stock went by this eve. We heard some good talks over the radio.

December 17- Monday. Rather cold today. Dad and Clarence helped Hankins thresh. I made some candy today. Got a card from Aunt Bertha.

December 18- Tuesday. Cold and stormy. Dad and C. went to town. Sent some Christmas presents. Got my hat. Mr. Welch called this eve. Heard that Mr. Hamon died in Dodge City hospital.

December 19- Wednesday. Nice day. We washed and churned. I got my skirt today. Sewed on my apron this eve. The radio was pretty good tonight.

December 20- Thursday. Rather windy today. I finished my apron. Mamma baked bread. We got some presents today. I straightened up my trunk this afternoon.

December 21- Friday. Fairly nice day. Didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. Two of the Kepley boys were here. I got a card from Vera. I washed my hair today.

December 22- Saturday. Fairly nice day. Dad and Clarence went to town. Cleaned up the house some. Mr. Walker and another fellow are staying here tonite.

December 23- Sunday. Cold today. Clarence and Walker went to hunt wheat pasture. Callers today were E. A. Kepley and 2 boys and Elmer Hennigh.

December 24- Monday. Lovely day. Mama washed. Dad and C. built some fence. Paul Payton came and got his cows this eve. Clarence started to do John L. chores.

December 25- Tuesday. Christmas Day. Cold and windy. Didn’t do much today. Listened to the radio etc. Had a good dinner. C. took Pearce’s radio home this eve.

December 26- Wednesday. Cold and windy. Awful dusty. Grace H. was here this morn. Dad went and helped them butcher. We brought my quilt down so I can work on it.

December 27- Thursday. Rather nice day. I quilted quite a lot today. Was outdoors some. Not much to write about.

December 28- Friday. Pretty nice day. I quilted quite a lot today. Was outdoors this evening. Wrote some letters this eve. Read some also.

December 29- Saturday. Cold today. I quilted some. Cleaned up the house. Slept and read some. Not much going on here.

December 30- Sunday. Pretty nice day but cold. We got the work done up and cleaned up. I read and slept some. Mr. Walker brought down 2 horses. We had a good dinner.

December 31- Monday. Windy dusty day. Didn’t do anything as was too dirty. Tried to make some candy. Walker and another man was here.
